Course Content

Life of the Buddha (Prince Siddhartha – Enlightenment)
The lesson designed the Life of the Buddha literally Prince Siddhartha life to His noble enlightenment. In this chapter will discuss particular aspects of the prince Siddhartha and His enlightenment.

Take Refuge in Triple Gem
The Lesson will explore the ground of the acceptance of Buddhism and eligible to practice it. Further it discuss about uniqueness of Buddha, Dhamma & Sangha individually. 

Concept of Saddha
This Lesson designed to pursue to practice Buddhism without bias and dogmatism to develop the nature of Saddha. It is indeed the foundational stone to approach Buddhist path.   The 5 Precepts – Buddhism & MoralityThe five precepts of Buddhism are the foundational ethical guidelines for individuals to live a life of moral integrity, compassion, and mindfulness. 

Buddhist Council Part I & IIB
Buddhism has constantly refined and evolved through conventions, various practices and councils. Over the period, Buddhist monastic communities have convened together to recite approved texts of scriptures and to settle Buddhist doctrinal disputes. These conventions or formal gatherings are called ‘Buddhist Councils’. In this lesson designed first Buddhist council and its nature, characteristics then results.

Structure of Tipitaka
In this content designed literally the noble teachings of the Buddha composed as a Tipitaka or Pali Canon. Derivation of term ‘Tipitaka’. 

Sigalovada Sutta Part I & II
In this section illustrated the person’s code code of ethics. It further discussed an exposition of the domestic and social duty for laity according to the Buddhist point of view. It unfolds a code of conduct for the improvement of one’s spirituality and the maintenance of positive social relations. 

Pre-Buddhist Concepts (Rituals & Practices)
This section broadly discussed Ritual practices emerged during the time of the Buddha and its nature and purposes. Comparatively discuss the difference between Buddhist rituals and pre-Buddhist ritual practices and its psychotherapeutic attitude. 

Six Heretical Teachers 
This lesson designed Six Heretical teachers and their teachings and practices. Concept of Sramana and wandering life. It denotes difference and similarities between Buddhism and Sramana Tradition.    

A basic introduction to Kamma Concept in Buddhism
This lesson designed Kamma is a central and fundamental aspect of Buddhist doctrine common to all traditions of Buddhism. The Buddhist concept of Kamma is a natural process that operates with all our volitional actions and which does not need an external agency or power that sits in judgement.  

Meditation in Early Buddhism (theoretical)
In this lesson designed Meditation in early Buddhism. How Buddha awakened by practicing Meditation and what kinds of practices did he practice. Nevertheless, discussing prevailing meditation techniques time of the Buddha. What kinds of meditation techniques emerged in early Buddhism.  Meditation occupies a central place in Buddhism and, in its highest stages, combines the discipline of progressively increased introversion with the insight brought about by wisdom.

This section will explore Pali Chanting especially Theravada Tradition particularly composed Pali stanzas for Homage to the Triple Gem, and Reciting Buddha Vandana and Paritta Chanting

Metta Sutta (loving Kindness)
This Lesson designed to exploring Metta or lovingkindness and way of practice it and discuss of discourse of Metta Sutta.
